Beef, sliced | 500g |
Spring onion bulb, diagonally sliced | 1 |
Shiitake mushrooms, quartered | 1 cup |
Capsicum, chopped | 1 cup |
Green vegetables, chopped | 1 cup |
Steamed rice, to serve | 2 cups |
Handful of sesame seeds to garnish (optional) |
Method
- Heat one tablespoon of oil in a wok at medium to high heat. Add beef and season with salt & pepper. Sear well until cooked through. Set aside.
- With a little more oil, sauté onion and mushrooms until tender. Add remaining vegetables, tossing on lower heat to tender but slightly crisp.
- Stir through the Sichuan sauce until heated for 2 mins. Combine the beef.
- Garnish with sesame seeds. Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
Try with chicken, or plant based with tofu and vegetables.
